Programs

HEALTH:

Our Health and Wellness program provides services that strives to maintain good health, detect health problems, make appropriate recommendations for referrals, and provide health education that prevents or delays health problems.

NUTRITION:

Our nutrition program provides daily meals, as well as food bank distributions to ensure seniors access to resources to maintain a well balanced diet. The center offers its seniors nutritious, balanced, hot lunches every day during the week, except Tuesday, when we offer soup and sandwiches. Please call the center to find out the daily menu.

SOCIAL SERVICES:

This program strives to keep the senior population of North Snohomish County informed and aware of issues affecting seniors and the services available to them. See also our page on "Health", "Classes", and "Apartments".

HOUSING:

The center offers apartment units that are eligible for rend subsidy through the County Housing Authority (HUD), and Rural Development. Our subsided apartments offer adequate housing to seniors and handicapped individuals at affordable prices.

EDUCATION:

We aim to improve access to adult education opportunities within the community. The center sponsors seminars for ongoing education in a variety of different areas, such as 55 Alive, reverse mortgage, and crime prevention.

RECREATION:

The aim of this program is to provide situations for seniors to interact with their peer group, maintain social contacts and social skills. Our recreation program includes: games, crafting and painting, woodworking, regularly scheduled entertainment and music, trips and special interest projects.
