Aug 26            WHIDBEY ISLAND TOUR

Leave 9:15 am   -  Return around 5 pm

Visit the Navy base museum in Oak Harbor and have lunch at the “Chief Petty Officer’s  club” (lunch available for $5 to $10) or bring a sack lunch; stop at Fort Casey State Park and tour the lighthouse; then stop at Whidbey Island Winery for some wine tasting ($3 for six tastes).  Then take the ferry from Clinton to Mukilteo, and back to the center.  

Cost of the trip   $40 – does not include lunch or wine, but provides you with a charter bus with air-conditioning or heat with a bathroom abroad.

Sept 1             SNOTRAC TRIP with Community Transit   – Free

Learn how to ride the bus and make transfers.  We will be going to the Bothell Country Village in Bothell.  Explore the cute shops, have lunch or go to tea at the tea house.   All concentrated in a small area with less walking from store to store.  More details will be available at the front desk.

HOSTESSSES AND HOSTS – NEEDED for trips.   This person will help the bus driver by assisting in reading signs, helping do a head count after stops, being positive and cheerful to encourage others to have a good time.  Sign up at the reception desk and talk with DJ, Program Administrator

FOOD HANDLER’S TRAINING --- SIGN UP sheet at the reception desk.  Training will be free, we need to have thirty people to do the training here at the center.  If you are not going to volunteer at Stillaguamish Senior Center it will cost $10.   Date will be announced when we have enough people signed up.

Darrington (Third Thursday of each month)

A scenic trip to the Darrington Community Center for lunch.

Cost: $6.00 transportation

Lunch: $4.00

Depart: 10:30am

Return: 2:30pm

Wednesday Grocery Shopping (Every Wednesday)

Time: 9:30am

Cost: Gas donation

Join us for a short ride to the Angel of the Winds Casino.
